How to get
Pennsylvania Real Estate License

Five clear steps from eligibility to exam day — everything you need, nothing you don't.

Eligibility
Be at Least 18 Years Old
You must be at least 18 years old to qualify to sit for the Pennsylvania real estate salesperson examination.

Education
High School Diploma or GED
A high school diploma or GED is required by the Pennsylvania Real Estate Commission.

30 hrs
Complete Fundamentals of Real Estate
A 30-hour course covering the basic concepts and principles of real estate.

45 hrs
Complete Practice of Real Estate
A 45-hour course that applies the concepts and principles learned in Fundamentals of Real Estate.

Exam
Pass the exam
Schedule your exam through Pearson VUE, pass both the National and Pennsylvania State examinations, and then apply for your Pennsylvania real estate license.
Total: 75 hours of Pennsylvania state-approved pre-license education — split into Fundamentals (30 hrs) and Practice (45 hrs).
